Designing your own wooden rocking chair gives you the opportunity to
decide on the angle of the back of the chair, its size and how fast it
rocks. It may take a few tries to complete a successful design rocking
chair that you recently purchased, but wish to make it actually ‘rocking’!
To help speed up the process, use an existing rocking chair that you like
as a base model. And oh, if you don’t have a rocking chair, you can always
click to
furniture shops in Dubai. Now let’s ‘rock’ the
rocking chair.
How to start?
·
Study the dimensions of
an existing rocking chair that you like. This chair is definitely one of
your favorite bought from a furniture shop.
·
Design the width and
depth of the chair. A proper width for a rocking chair is at least 4
inches wider than the width of the intended user. If you design a rocking
chair for a child, leave room for growth of the child. When designing the
depth of the chair, keep in mind that chair may take up to 2 inches.
· Determine the length of
rocker rails. The rails are the pieces, curved bottom that make the chair
rock. Rails that are too long pose a tripping hazard, and those that are
too short can cause a rocking chair to tip. Good rocking chair rails at
the furniture
shops available extend 2 inches
past the front of the seat and not more than 6 inches past the back edge.
·
You can actually make
sure to design the bow rails and angle of the chair legs. The rails should
have a gentle curve that does not tilt the chair rocking back quickly once you
sit in the seat.
Create a comfortable rear seat design for your rocking chair. If you
can’t walk up to furniture shops, click to place order!
